Course overview
This course provides the foundation for all future use of the Geoplan MapViewer and Administrator Module.

Course objectives
By the end of this course, after working through varied exercises and extensive hands-on use of the MapViewer and Administrator module, you will be able to:

MapViewer:

• Introduction.
• Install the MapViewer.
• Use the Helpfile.
• Load MapViewer .gmv files.
• Understand and manipulate the MapViewer Layout.
• Navigate successfully around the MapViewer using a variety of tools.
• Describe, understand and use:
• Map layers.
• Postcode Areas, Districts and Sectors.
• Thematic mapping.
• Charts.
• Use the information tool to interrogate the map.
• Work with territories and restrict views by territory.
• Convert map scale from imperial to metric.
• Print layout and printing maps.
• Use your own MapViewer file.

Administrator Module:

• Install Administrator Module.
• Use the Helpfile.
• Create the link to GeoAnalyser.
• Create user defined overlays using familiar descriptions.
• Personalise the MapViewer by adding your own logo.
• Create a MapViewer .gmv files for distribution.

Who should attend?
This full day course is aimed at all new users of Geoplan MapViewer
and Administrator. Basic PC skills are required.
