We are pleased to provide information on a new approach to the way Geoplan supplies data. These Local Authority data bundles package Geoplan’s industry standard data products specifically for use within County and District Council areas.
A range of options are available, starting from as little as £495, providing you with all of the tools to help you understand your Local Authority and make the right decisions.
What is provided?
The focus of this product is to offer the primary datasets required for the application of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) at a Local Authority level for the UK.
Geoplan’s Local Authority data bundles contain the following Geoplan Pro products - high quality Postcode resolution for national, regional, local and street level use and fitted to County or District Council boundaries:
- Geoplan Postcode boundaries – Area, District and Sector level Postcode boundaries that fall within the Local Authority Boundary.
- Geoplan Postcode Points – all of the full Postcode locations within the Local Authority Boundary.
- Royal Mail Postcode Address File (PAF) – containing address details for every household within the Local Authority Boundary.
- Census Data - The 2001 Census Data, sourced from the three Census Offices representing the UK. Updated using the latest Postcode releases and providing the most cost-effective and accurate Census data sets at Postcode Sector and Output Area levels.
- Media Data
- TV Plan - Boundaries and Postcode Sector tables defining the coverage for BARB and ISBA overlapping and non overlapping TV areas.
- Radio Plan - Boundaries and Postcode Sector tables defining the coverage of independent local radio and local BBC radio stations.
- News Plan - Boundaries and Postcode Sector tables defining the coverage of local free and paid for newspapers including associated delivery frequency.
High Resolution Option
As an option, choose an increased level of resolution in order to make your analysis even more accurate using the Geoplan XT version of Postcode Boundaries and Points. The high resolution XT version is created using OS AddressPoint, OS large scale vector mapping and Geoplan Postcode Sector geography. For detailed applications that demand the highest level of boundary accuracy available.
