Investors in People - House of Lords

We are pleased to announce that Geoplan Managing Director John Taylor was recently invited to speak at the House of Lords.

This important event was recently held on Wednesday 16 November, hosted by Valerie Todd, the Chair of Investors in People.

The purpose of the lunch was to discuss how Investors in People can help businesses achieve better results and support economic growth. This was a great honour and we were delighted to contribute to such important subject matter.

Apprenticeships Summit

As an Investors in People Champion, Sara McCartney our Finance and Operations Director was invited by Vince Cable, the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, to the Apprenticeship summit in Westminster on 16th November 2011.

The driver behind the event was part of a government initiative to tackle youth unemployment and increase apprenticeships; and provide the best mechanism of support to small businesses in order to meet those goals.

The session consisted of presentations by Vince Cable and Bill Hayes, the Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning, Departments for Business, Innovation and Skills and Education.
