USER TIPS

Tech Tip 5 - Saving Style Sequences (GeoAnalyser)

Styling classified symbols and areas can be a repetitive and time consuming task. Save time by saving customised style sequences to the dictionary for future use.

Action:
After you have created your style sequence, select ‘Save to Dictionary’. Save to the Tactician UK Dictionary and provide a name for the sequence and a suitable description.

When you now want to create an overlay in the same style, you can click ‘Select from Dictionary’ and choose your previously saved style sequence.

Tech Tip 6 – Calculating Data (Atlas Products)

Use the ‘Calculate Data’ tool to manipulate the data contained within the software, as well as any additional data that you have imported yourself.

Example:
The following example shows how it is possible to create a delivery point density field at Postcode Sector level by dividing the total number of delivery points by area.

Once you have performed the calculation you can now access the data through the thematic mapping tool and produce a customised hot to cold map.
