NEW PRODUCT FOR R50
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and
enhancement to our product range, we have taken the opportunity
to review and improve the accuracy of the Geoplan Geopoint
Dataset. We are therefore pleased to announce the launch of the
new and improved version at Postcode Release 50.
Having embraced the changes as a result of the OS Open Data, we
have taken advantage of this newly available data and blended this
with the best of the Geoplan value-add components, to create a
new, superior version of the product.
The improvements made have impacted on the following
products:
- Geopoint Data- 90% of point locations now accurate to up
to 1m (previously accurate to within 100m on average).
Additional Positional Quality Indicator flag included as
standard.
- Geoplan Pro Unit Boundaries- improved accuracy of
boundaries as now tessellated around the improved point
locations. The boundaries have also improved visually due
to new improved processing techniques implemented at
this release and Vertical Street Look-ups are also included.
