Postcode Sector Boundary Improvement

Geoplan is committed to continuous innovation across all of our products and processes and the most recent example of this can be seen with our Postcode Sector Boundaries.

The Geoplan Postcode Sector boundary file is recognised as the industry standard and has held this position since its original creation in 1984. The product is constantly reviewed, update and upgraded, and this next version of the product will be the best yet, delivering unrivalled postcode boundary accuracy, even down to street level.

On definition of the brief, we elected to provide postgraduate students from Cranfield University with the opportunity to fulfil the work as part of an MSc in Geographical Information Management; in exchange for the experience, and a substantial bursary to undertake the work. Geoplan has a long standing relationship with Cranfield University and Geoplan were keen to take the opportunity to involve wider members of our community for mutual benefit.
