The Problem

Alamar Foods own the Domino’s Pizza brand in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan region. As an expanding business, their focus was on ensuring their store development team understood the market potential in Saudi Arabia, to decide where to locate their new stores.

Alamar Foods required a Digital Maps Solution that would give them the tools to assess the potential locations to inform decision making, resulting in a higher return on investment.

The Solution

Geoplan's SKiN Online Mapping Software with Site Optimiser, enabled Alamar Foods to map their existing stores and locate new potential sites.

Using our systems, Alamar Foods have been able to analyse market potential and optimise restaurant location based on: Store Location, Characteristics & Performance, Store Trade Zone Definitions, Competitors, Target Store Profile, Travel time and Population.

This has allowed Alamar Foods to identify potential locations that can be scored to identify a runway of new restaurants to open in Saudi Arabia.

Developed specifically for Hermes, the system provided:

The Benefits

  • Market Potential Report – scored list of areas to target & a visual representation in the online system.
  • Increased confidence to make the right choices for site selection.
  • Optimised existing site coverage, with the ability to change to fit the market.
  • Increased confidence to make the right choices for site selection.
  • Cost savings through right sizing store coverage to potential.
