HOW DO THE R70-2 CHANGES AFFECT YOU?
The data changes made within every update could have major implications when using Geoplan software for planning or analysis purposes. By ensuring the software is kept up to date, you can be confident in the accuracy of the relevant output, for example (but not limited to) the following:
Accurate plotting of customer or prospect locations.
Efficient and up to date sales territory structures.
Accurate sales performance analysis.
Correct targeting of market resource.
By not updating Geoplan Postcode software, systems will quickly become out of date and accuracy of analysis / results may be compromised. We therefore recommend that you apply your update at the earliest opportunity.

PAF Data
The R70-2 data is sourced from the August 2020 release of PAF, replacing the May 2020 (R70) PAF data.
The changes include a mixture of new addresses added, old addresses being removed and some addresses changed.
Postcode Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 2,06 from 2,065,810 at the previous release to 2,068,516 at R70-2.
Premise Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 59,854 from 30,768,438 the previous release to 30,828,292 at R70-2.
Geopoint
4,908 new Postcodes have been introduced.
2,598 postcodes that were available at R70, are no longer valid at R70-2.
Total number of postcodes at R70-2 is now 1,770,004 - an increase of 2,310.
Geopoint Plus
4,908 new Postcodes have been introduced.

Geopoint XT
The R70-2 product is now based on August 2020 postcode geography.
There are 4,202 new Postcodes at R70-2.
There are 2,553 postcodes from the previous supply that are no longer valid in R70-2.
The total number of Postcodes at R70-2 has inreased by 1,649 from 1,756,131 to 1,757,780.
SuperPro Postcode Sector Boundaries
The R70-2 product is now based on August 2020 postcode geography.
Geoplan Census Sector Pack
The R70-2 product is now based on August 2020 postcode geography.
2011 census counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.
Open Sector Boundaries

SuperPro Postcode Unit Boundaries
The R70-2 product is now based on August 2020 postcode geography.
There have been 1,938 new postcode unit boundaries added.
