Please see below the key postcode changes that have occurred at this release:

HOW DO THE R73-2 CHANGES AFFECT YOU?

The data changes made within every update could have major implications when using Geoplan software for planning or analysis purposes. By ensuring the software is kept up to date, you can be confident in the accuracy of the relevant output, for example (but not limited to) the following:

  • Accurate plotting of customer or prospect locations.
  • Efficient and up to date sales territory structures.
  • Accurate sales performance analysis.
  • Correct targeting of market resource.
  • By not updating Geoplan Postcode software, systems will quickly become out of date and accuracy of analysis / results may be compromised. We therefore recommend that you apply your update at the earliest opportunity.

DETAILED CHANGES BY PRODUCT

Release Date - January 2022

PAF Data

  • The R73-2 data is sourced from the December 2021 release of PAF, replacing the September 2021 (R73) PAF data.
  • The changes include a mixture of new addresses added, old addresses being removed and some addresses changed.
  • Postcode Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 2,727 from 2,083,013 at the previous release to 2,085,740 at R73-2.
  • Premise Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 83,861 from 31,193,124 at the previous release to 31,276,985 at R73-2.

Geopoint  

  • 4,718 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in East London (E), Birmingham (B) and Nottingham (NG)
  • 2,486 postcodes that were available at R73, are no longer valid at R73-2.
  • Total number of postcodes at R73-2 is now 1,784,819 - an increase of 2,232.

Geopoint Plus

  • 4,718 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in East London (E), Birmingham (B) and Nottingham (NG)
  • 2,486 postcodes that were available at R73, are no longer valid at R73-2.
  • Total number of postcodes at R73-2 is now 1,784,819 - an increase of 2,232.
  • Delivery count information is included based on December 2021 PAF data.

Geopoint XT

  • 4,898 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in East London (E), Manchester (M) and Leicester (LE)
  • 2,755 postcodes that were available at R73, are no longer valid at R73-2.
  • Total number of postcodes at R73 is now 1,771,143 - an increase of 2,143.

SuperPro Postcode Sector Boundaries

There is 1 new postcode Sector at R73-2. The new sectors are:

  • NG24 5
  • The total number of Postcode Sectors at R73-2 is 9565.
  • In addition to the new sectors the boundaries have been improved to reflect changes in the Postcode Address File.
    2011 census counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.

Geoplan Census Sector Pack  

There is 1 new postcode Sector at R73-2. The new sector is:

  • NG24 5
  • The total number of Postcode Sectors at R73-2 is 9565.
  • 2011 census counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.

Open Sector Boundaries

There is 1 new postcode Sector at R73-2.The new sector is:

  • NG24 5
  • The total number of Postcode Sectors at R73-2 is 9565.
  • The R73-2 product is now based on Decemeber 2021 postcode geography.

SuperPro Postcode Unit Boundaries

  • The R73-2 product is now based on SuperPro 2021 postcode geography.
  • There have been 2,742 new postcode unit boundaries added.
  • The total number of postcode units at R73-2 is 1,706,377.

XT Postcode Sector, District and Area (SDA) Boundaries

  • The XT SDA Boundaries are now based upon December 2021 Royal Mail PAF.
  • There are now 9,615 Postcode Sectors, an increase of 6 from R73.
  • Census Demographic data has been updated, by projecting the figures in line with the residential delivery counts at R73-2.

XT Postcode Unit Boundaries

  • The XT Unit Boundaries have been updated to reflect changes in the December 2021 postcode geography.
  • There are now 1,766,825 postcode unit boundaries, an increase of 2,899 from R73.
