Data and SKiN Software Release – R69-2 – January 2019


KEY CHANGES AT R69-2

Please see below the key postcode changes that have occurred at this release:

New Postcodes added: Over 5,100 new Postcodes have been introduced with high concentrations in Birmingham (B), Gloucester (GL) and Peterborough (PE).
Invalid Postcodes removed: Over 2,400 Postcodes that were valid at the previous release, are no longer valid at R69-2.


HOW DO THE R69-2 CHANGES AFFECT YOU?

The data changes made within every update could have major implications when using Geoplan software for planning or analysis purposes. By ensuring the software is kept up to date, you can be confident in the accuracy of the relevant output, for example (but not limited to) the following:

Accurate plotting of customer or prospect locations.
Efficient and up to date sales territory structures.
Accurate sales performance analysis.
Correct targeting of market resource.
By not updating Geoplan Postcode software, systems will quickly become out of date and accuracy of analysis / results may be compromised. We therefore recommend that you apply your update at the earliest opportunity.

SKiN Mapping Software

New Postcodes added: Over 5,100 new Postcodes have been introduced with high concentrations in Birmingham (B), Gloucester (GL) and Peterborough (PE).
Invalid Postcodes removed: Over 1,800 Postcodes that were valid at the previous release, are no longer valid at R69-2.
Postcode Sectors & Census Demographics:  
Data Update: Data has been updated, by projecting the figures in line with the residential delivery counts at R69-2.

Release 1 - Friday 16th January  

PAF Data

The R69-2 data is sourced from the December 2019 release of PAF, replacing the September 2019 (R69) PAF data.
The changes include a mixture of new addresses added, old addresses being removed and some addresses changed.
Postcode Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 3,410 from 2,060,081 at the previous release to 2,063,491 at R69-2.
Premise Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 75,982 from 30,612,818 at the previous release to 30,688,800 at R69.

Geopoint

5,144 new Postcodes have been introduced with high concentrations in Birmingham (B), Gloucester (GL) and Peterborough (PE).
1,890 postcodes that were available at R69, are no longer valid at R69-2.
Total number of postcodes at R69 is now 1,765,422 - an increase of 3,254.

Geopoint Plus

5,144 new Postcodes have been introduced with high concentrations in Birmingham (B), Gloucester (GL) and Peterborough (PE).
1,890 postcodes that were available at R69, are no longer valid at R69-2.
Total number of postcodes at R69 is now 1,765,422 - an increase of 3,254.
Delivery Count information is included based on December 2019 PAF data.

Geopoint XT

The R69-2 product is now based on November 2019 postcode geography.
There are 4,946 new Postcodes at R69-2.
There are 2,478 postcodes from the previous supply that are no longer valid in R69-2.
The total number of Postcodes at R69-2 has inrease by 2,468 from 1,749,162 to 1,751,630.

Geopoint XT Plus

The R69-2 product is now based on Novemebr 2019 postcode geography and the December 2019 release of Royal Mail’s PAF data.
There are 4,953 new Postcodes in R69-2.
There are 2,489 postcodes from the previous supply that are no longer valid in R69-2.
The total Number of Postcodes at R69-2 has increased by 2,464 from 1,760,428 to 1,762,892.
Delivery Count information is included based on December 2019 PAF data.

SuperPro Postcode Sector Boundaries

The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
There has been no change to the Postcode Sector Boundaries.  
There has been an increase of 5 Non-Geographic Postcode Sectors.
Demographic counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.  

Open Sector Boundaries

The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
There has been no change to the Postcode Sector Boundaries.  
There has been an increase of 5 Non-Geographic Postcode Sectors.
Demographic counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.  

Geoplan Census Sector Pack

The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
2011 census counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.

SuperPro Postcode Unit Boundaries

The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
There are now 1,688,039 Postcode Unit Boundaries in R69-2, this is an increase of 2,867 from R69.  

XT Postcode Unit Boundaries
The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
There are now 1,746,855 Postcode Unit Boundaries in R69-2, this is an increase of 2,504 from R69.  

XT Postcode Sector Boundaries  
The R69-2 product is now based on December 2019 postcode geography.
There are now 9,597 Postcode Sector Boundaries in R69-2, this is an increase of 2 from R69.
