HOW DO THE R74 CHANGES AFFECT YOU?
The data changes made within every update could have major implications when using Geoplan software for planning or analysis purposes. By ensuring the software is kept up to date, you can be confident in the accuracy of the relevant output, for example (but not limited to) the following:
- Accurate plotting of customer or prospect locations.
- Efficient and up to date sales territory structures.
- Accurate sales performance analysis.
- Correct targeting of market resource.
- By not updating Geoplan Postcode software, systems will quickly become out of date and accuracy of analysis / results may be compromised. We therefore recommend that you apply your update at the earliest opportunity.
DETAILED CHANGES BY PRODUCT
Release Date - April 2022
PAF Data
- The R74 data is sourced from the March 2022 release of PAF, replacing the December 2021 (R73-2) PAF data.
- The changes include a mixture of new addresses added, old addresses being removed and some addresses changed.
- Postcode Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 2,300 from 2,085,740 at the previous release to 2,088,040 at R74.
- Premise Level PAF - Number of records has increased by 69,780 from 31,276,985 at the previous release to 31,346,765 at R74.
SuperPro Postcode Sector Boundaries
There are 4 new postcode Sector at R74. The new sectors are:
The total number of Postcode Sectors at R74 is 9569.
- In addition to the new sectors the boundaries have been improved to reflect changes in the Postcode Address File.
- 2011 census counts have been projected to reflect latest changes in residential delivery counts.
Geoplan Census Sector Pack
There are 4 new postcode Sector at R74. The new sectors are:
The total number of Postcode Sectors at R74 is 9569.

Geopoint
- 4,603 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in Cambridge (CB), Birmingham (B) and South East London (SE)
- 2,689 postcodes that were available at R73-2, are no longer valid at R74.
- Total number of postcodes at R74 is now 1,786,733 - an increase of 1,914.
Geopoint Plus
- 4,603 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in Cambridge (CB), Birmingham (B) and South East London (SE)
- 2,689 postcodes that were available at R73-2, are no longer valid at R74.
- Total number of postcodes at R74 is now 1,786,733 - an increase of 1,914.
- Delivery count information is included based on March 2022 PAF data.
Geopoint XT
- 4,704 new Postcodes have been introduced, with high concentrations in East London (E), Birmingham (B) and Nottingham (NG)
- 2,467 postcodes that were available at R73-2, are no longer valid at R74.
- Total number of postcodes at R74 is now 1,786,733 - an increase of 2,237.
SuperPro Postcode Unit Boundaries
- The R74 product is now based on March 2022 postcode geography.
- There have been 2,384 new postcode unit boundaries added.
- The total number of postcode units at R74 is 1,708,761.
